A colorful sweater, like a tropical bird.

This one has already been sold. Thank you very much.

I made this sweater using a top-down construction, starting from the neckline.

The first color I chose was blue, a color that is surprisingly difficult to work with.

After that, I added bold colors like pink, and at one point I honestly thought,

“Is there really someone who would wear something like this?”

Still, once I had come that far, I decided to keep going.

I felt like I might as well see it through.

As I continued knitting, I began to feel that using these bright colors everywhere

might make the sweater look a little too childish.

So I started adding darker tones—black and brown—to bring everything together.

In the end, the sweater settled into a slightly retro look,

and now it’s one of my favorites.

The length is long enough to cover the hips,

which is the opposite of the current short-length trend.

But for me, this longer length gives a sense of comfort,

and that was an important point.

The size is based on a body type that usually wears a Japanese size M,

and the sleeves are finished at a length that feels just right.

On both sleeves, I knitted in a long-haired, subtly shimmering black yarn

together with black and brown yarns.

The fuzzy texture extends toward the cuffs,

but it doesn’t look bulky.

Instead, it catches the light gently and sparkles quietly with movement.

It began boldly, wandered through moments of doubt,

and finally arrived at a calm, balanced place.

This sweater, too, has properly reached its completion here.
